Rebuild Alabama Project Updates – March 2022

The Annual Grant Program of the Rebuild Alabama Act (RAA) signed in March 2019 requires ALDOT to allocate at least $10 million annually from the state’s share of gas tax revenue for funding of eligible local road and bridge projects.

Project Completion Updates (March 2022):

  • Barbour County:
    • March 28, 2022 (1): Midsouth Paving, Inc., completed the Proceed Order with Barbour County for construction of Project No. RA-BCP-03-295-20, level, surface treatment, and stripe CR-9 from SR-130 to CR-27.
    • March 28, 2022 (2): Midsouth Paving, Inc., completed the Proceed Order with Barbour County for construction of Project No. RA-BCP-03-298-20, widen, level, surface treatment, and stripe CR-18 from SR-131 to CR-79.
    • April 4, 2022 (3): Charles E. Watts, Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Barbour County for construction of Project No. RA-BCP 03-296-20.
    • April 4, 2022 (4): Charles E. Watts, Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Barbour County for construction of Project No. RA-BCP 03-304-21.
  • Blount County, April 5, 2022: Bob Smith Construction, Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Blount County for construction of RA-BCP-05-165-18 NeSmith Road Bridge Replacement.
  • Butler County, March 29, 2022: Midsouth Paving, Inc. completed the Proceed Order with Butler County for construction of Project Number RA-BCP-07-07-2021, Widen, Level, and Resurface Wesley Chapel Road, from Rigsby Road to Alabama Highway 106.
  • Coosa County, March 30, 2022: Gary Ingram Grading and Paving, completed the Proceed Order with Coosa County for construction of RA-CCP 19-01-21 (CR-77), RA-CCP 19-02-21 (CR-11), RA-CCP 19-03-21 (CR-111), RA-CCP 19-05-21 (CR 27), RA-CCP 19-06-21 (CR-56), and RA-CCP 19-08-21 (CR-42, CR-103 and CR-97).
  • Crenshaw County, March 17, 2022: Midsouth Paving, Inc. completed the contract for resurfacing and traffic stripe on Rising Star Road and Helicon Cross Road CDBG Project No. CY-CM-PF-20-008.
  • Dallas County, March 7, 2022: Asphalt Contractors completed the Proceed Order with Dallas County for construction of RA-DCP 24-09-21 Resurface and Traffic Stripe.
  • Pike County, April 7, 2022: S&C Materials and Paving completed the Proceed Order with Pike County for construction of RA-PCP 55-03-21.
