Access to safe and secure transportation is foundational to an economically dynamic and socially inclusive society. ATI has fostered an interdisciplinary research portfolio aimed at enhancing the quality of life by connecting individuals, communities, and economies by a highly functional transportation system that balances the mandate to provide cost-effective, efficient solutions with the needs of the full range of potential system users.
Transportation Safety, Security and Accessibility Collaboratory
Based on the involved topics and constituent members of the Transportation Safety, Security and Accessibility, we have identified Transportation Safety Technology 2040 as a Signature Project to help focus the attention of the Collaboratory at a high level in parallel to the new and ongoing research. This project is meant to support the overall research efforts of this topic and to yield a core resource to support transportation research at UA.
