As communication technologies continue to permeate human life and civil society, the physical components of the transportation system will continue to be increasingly connected to one another. ATI is leading research in the laboratory and the field to design and test the latest equipment and protocols necessary to realize the full potential of these new transportation technologies.
Connected Vehicles and Infrastructure Collaboratory
Based on the involved topics and constituent members of the Connected Vehicles and Infrastructure, we have identified Transportation Systems Management and Operations 2040 as a Signature Project to help focus the attention of the Collaboratory at a high level in parallel to the new and ongoing research. This project is meant to support the overall research efforts of this topic and to yield a core resource to support transportation research at UA.
